Edinburgh, 15/05/2021, Saturday

Today was a day of touristic things. Morning, we ordered Uber to Holy Rood park. Our Uber driver was a perfectly preserved specimen of Scottish accent. The best bet to hear it, are people in their 40s or older.

In the park we climbed on Salisbury Craigs, then almost to the top of Arthur seat and then went down to Duddingston village.

From there we took another Uber from The sheep heid pub to the castle.

Our destination was not the castle, which currently is blissfully quiet. But Tartan Weaving Mill and Exhibition shop almost next to the castle. The last time I perceived it as a horrible souvenir shop. This time I discovered that it is actually OK. There are 3 floors inside, and they have a massive collection of cashmere and lambswool scarves. Including clans of Scotland, two of which we bought 2 years ago.

I like these scarves – they are light and warm. And useful for half a year. So we bought more.

The dinner at 21212 was a disappointment. All about art, foam and small few bits worth portions. Yeah, when food becomes more of an art than food, I’m not too fond of it. I prefer to stay one level lower.
