Catalytic ovens are a fucking fraud.
To be more precise there are two types of catalytic ovens: “all sides” and “partial”. Partials are an absolute disgrace.
The promise is simple: porous catalytic material gathers all the grime, which can be washed easily.
“Partial” means, though, that the material covers only one or two sides of your oven. So that’s one or two sides out of five. And guess what – while the oil goes up and down, the sides that are usually covered are either left and right, or just the back one, which doesn’t help at all.
